White Pine Community

The town has a population of 1,997 per the 1990 census. There are 21 employees, 8 of which are police officers. The town provides water, wastewater treatment, street cleanup (includes brush/leaf pickup), and garbage services.

White Pine is a family oriented community that puts great emphasis on our children. The town provides recreational facilities that include a football field, soccer field, softball field, basketball court, 2 tennis courts, and 2 little league baseball fields. In 2009 a “splashpad” water activity will be installed at Lions Field.

Community activity organizations include the White Pine Athletic Club, the White Pine Football League, Ruritan Club, Lions Club, and Masons.

There are numerous churches within the community that offer a choice of Baptist, Methodist, Church of God, Church of Christ, and non-denominational.
